Happy 1/2 Birthday Reese and Grant!!!

Reese and Grant had a good day today.  it was a very nice day with 75 degree weather!  Grandma and Gramps said they had a good happy day, even posed for some pictures at their house.  When Mommy and Daddy came home, they got dressed and went to the friends dinner at Smokey Bones.  Grant sat with Aunt Amie while Reese looked around watching everything going on.  After dinner, we went to Babies R Us to check out new strollers and car seats.  They enjoyed being out and about. 

Neither of them have teeth yet, but they seem to have been teething for the past few months.
-reaching and grabbing objects
-rolling over
-starting to scoot around a little
-sitting up with assistance, getting stronger and stronger every day
-very interested in what Mommy and Daddy are eating
-both over 20 lbs (we go next Friday to their doctor visit and we'll find out for sure)
*****After Doctor visit, we found out that they are NOT yet 20lbs! 
Reese - 18lbs, 15oz
Grant - 18lbs, 12oz
Everything went well at the doctor visit, the doctor is still happy with their growth and development.  Neither Reese nor Grant was happy to get their shots, but they did ok.  Both ran a temperature the next day, and were crabby, but have been fine otherwise.

Reese's hair is really starting to come back in blonde on top, she still has a dark horseshoe around the back.  Grant's hair is very blonde and he doesn't have a lot of it right now.  At this point both of their eyes are still blue.

 So far April has been as unpredictable as March as far as the weather goes!  80 degrees one day and 30 the next!  Not good for the congestion!  Poor Grant was so congested, last night he kept waking up.  Needless to say we had a loooooong night!  He of course seems unaffected by the lack of sleep, I on the other hand am very very tired today!!!

Grant reached for me last night for the first time.  He also was reaching for more for toys and startting to really pass things back and forth between his hands.  Poor things is so congested, but the nurse said we are doing everything right and as long as his breathing is ok, then we dont need to come in.  WE go next week for their 6 month shots anyway. 

Reese has not really reached out for me yet, but she has been passing toys back and forth for some time now.  She also rolled over consistently last week.  She really loves to pet the dogs and watch them!  They like to come sit by us on the couch and she pets them (or more pinches them, but she is trying to pet them).  Reese has also been fighting sleep more and more lately, screaming alot until she finally falls asleep. 

We had a busy weekend last weekend.  We had their 6 month photos taken with June.

Then Grant and I went to Sarah's babyshower together.  (Reese was finally napping, so I didnt want to wake her).  He was a big hit, however he was being rather shy...he cried or started to, almost everytime he was passed to a new face.  Poor Grant.  Other than that, he did great, although I think he missed his sister! 
Then on Sunday we went over to see Gramps and tried to take some more pictures in the back yard, but it was soooooo bright outside, I think it was 86 degrees that day too, so it was hot and windy.  The wind kept blowing the blanket around, so we'll have to try again to take the photos I wanted to take.
