President's Day 2012

On President's Day we celebrated our ForeFathers by spending the day with our Mommy.  We had a good day just hanging out.  We did really good and took a long nap after our early lunch.  Then we were ready to play.  We went for a short walk down the street, but it was soooooooooooo windy, we deicded to turn around.
Mommy decided to take us to Target instead to get us out of the house and our and about.  It was her first time ever taking us out by herself!  And she didnt have any stomach cramps the whole time and have to rush us with her to the restroom!!  :D  Yeah for Mommy!  We had a great time with her shopping for new shoes!

Fat Tuesday 2012

We didnt get too excited about these beads that mom made us wear...mostly we just wanted to watch our show and not be bothered with these things!  Happy Mardi Gras!

Playing in our room

Reese and Grant like to play in thier room, even when they are tired.   Grant was about to fall asleep on the floor, but was just playing and playing.

Daddy came in and they were trying to stuff the balls down his throat.  They had a good time giggling at Daddy when he would blow them out of his mouth!

Reese meets concrete

Reese and Grant were having such a good day Friday (Feb. 17th) playing outside at Grandma and Grandpas in Grandpa's truck.

....then at home they were walking along the side walk with each other.  Several times up and down the side walk they walked, then Shadow came by and distracted poor Reese.  She tripped on the crack and fell; head first into the concrete step!  It swelled up pretty good and got a good scream(or screams) out of her.

After a little consoling she started to feel better.  She wasnt showing any signs of concussion and the bump was swelling out, so she was going to be just fine...Just scared us both real bad.  I thought she has caught her eye on the corner of the step, and I was freaking out!  But she is a strong little toots, and after her initial screaming, she calmed down and was fine.

Happy Valentine's Day 2012

The snow we had yesterday has already melted and gone...temps reached in the 40's today and now we will be getting back to the 50's later this week.
We didnt do alot to celebrate Valentine's Day this year, but we did try to get some photos.  Of course, they had more fun jumping on the pillows and playing than they did sitting still for photos!

16 Months

Reese and Grant turned 16 months old on Wednesday February 8th!  They are growing so fast and learning so many new things everyday!  NO more Pacifiers!  We cut them out cold turkey and haven't looked back since!  We also have cut out all bottles, woo hoo!  Now we are really working on the bedtime routine.

Here are a few things they are up to:

Reese:
Saying two word phrases, like Thank you and Get you.
She knows who "ME" is and points at herself when she says it(She will tell you who is in a picture, and if it is her, she says ME!)
Likes to carry around her baby doll and push her in the stroller.
Loves to read books.
Dancing
Loves to imitate things we do, like shaking our finger at Shadow when he barks, or trying to move Lacey off her Mickey couch by the collar...
Apples and toast are her favorite foods

Grant:
Works on puzzles and does really well with getting the pieces in the right place.
Loves to play music so his sister can dance.
Loves to stack cups, bowls and blocks
Giving lots of kisses and hugs to Mommy and Daddy
Starting to Dance by spinning around and swinging his arms
Loves to read books (especially if it is mommy's kindle)
He loves to push buttons...on the tv, cable box, alarm clocks, phones, ect.
Is doing really well going to sleep on his own for both nap time and at night
Meat and Green Beans are his favorite foods

Both Reese and Grant:
Love to take baths
Brush their teeth with little assistance
Starting to help a little more with dressing and undressing.
Following simple directions (ex:  bring me the toy, or throw this in the trash)
Walking and climbing
Throwing the beach ball and any ball around(really like to "bonk" mommy and daddy with the beach ball)
Playing outside, especially on a slide
Throwing food on the ground and/or feeding the dogs from their high chairs
Eating with a spoon or fork mostly unassisted....still very messy in doing this!
They both like Pizza and Yogurt

APple

Reese LOVES APples!  I was in the frig getting something out and she saw one in there.  She kept saying APple and pointing to it, so I got it out, washed it off and gave it to her to hold.  I continued getting thier lunch together and when I turned around, this is what I saw...
This was her first time biting into an apple, and she did great without any instruction!  She just bit in and ended up eating 1/2 of the apple! She has been saying Apple for a long time now, and in fact calls alot of round objects apples...I guess she knows what she likes!

Another Spring Like Day

I am late in posting this...This was actually taken at the end of January on my day off with a Migraine.  Later in the afternoon I felt better and Grandma and Grandpa brought the kids back home...we took them for a short walk in thier cars.  They had a good time, but they were really loud on the concrete and Grant was holding his ears...so we came back home and played on the slide for  little while.  They were really enjoying being outside!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Michael's birthday was on Sunday...Super Bowl Sunday!

We didnt do much on that day, but hang out with the kids.  We sang Happy Birthday to Michael and he blew out his candles(Reese and Grant liked it when I sang to daddy).  The kids didnt really know what he was doing when he blew it out, but they sure loved the cake!  Reese kept saying, YUM YUM YUM.
Saturday, Michael got a few suprises for his birthday!  John flew into town and suprised him at his afternoon hair appointment at the Hair Saloon.  Then he kidnapped him for a while to play darts and hang out.  The babies and I were at home, and they spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa.  The guys met me (and about 15 others he didnt know would be there) at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.  We had a good time at dinner, talking and playing trivia.  After dinner, we decided to play darts at St.Clair Bowl.

Some Playtime with Daddy!!
