33 WKS and Counting!

Still no date yet…boo hoo.  But oh well, the babies are doing great and that is all that matters.  At Friday’s appointment, we did the NST again.  Girl baby was good this time around and the boy baby kept kicking off the monitors, so we ended up having to have a BPP again.  Which is fine with me.  I like to see them through the ultrasound, it gives me the most comfort. The nurse at the NST kept commenting on how strong he is!  Ha,tell me about it!  :D
The technician who did the BPP today was like the girl “SUNNY” from SCRUBS!  She was really nice, but had one of those voices that just make you laugh.  She kept calling Michael the Observer.  I keep calling her Blonde Sunny.  She showed us that the girl actually has a lot of hair, the boy has some too, but the girl had A LOT!  Michael also winked and smiled at the front desk lady and got us a free parking pass for the day!  Such a charmer!
Doctor said that we are doing great, but will not schedule c-section until around 35 weeks.  It will probably be 37 weeks before we have the c-section, unless something happens before then.  We will play it by ear until then.  That is 4 weeks from now.
Saturday was the MMOM sale, and I got some things for both babies, mostly clothes this time around.  I was really tired and sore by the time I left there though!     Our house was really cold  Saturday night and I hardly got up at all to go to the bathroom!  I slept in until about 8 and felt a whole lot better!  I am not sure if that is what gave me all the energy, but I sure had a lot of energy on Sunday!  I am really glad fall is here, and I hope it is here to stay, I love this weather.  I am still getting bigger and bigger.  Harder to get around these days, but at least we don’t have that added heat.
Friday morning we also had some belly photos taken by June Hollowell (Reflections by June).  Sorry, not posting them,  those are just for us!

NST & BPP

Yesterday I went in for my first NST (non-stress test).  This is where I lay back and they hook me up to monitors which watch the heartrates of both babies and also monitors contractions.  I was there about 45 minutes, and the babies still did not show too much fluctuation, even after having juice and graham crackers.  I could feel them move though so I knew they were moving.  I guess they are just running out of room ,s o their movements are not causing their heart rates to do big excellerations!  The doctors did warn me that the NST is hard to do with twins, so we will probalby be doing the BPP twice a week from now on.

So after the 45 minutes, they decided that I should just do the BPP (biophysical), which is basically an ultrasound where they will check each baby for movement, fluid and the breathing action.  Both babies passed with flying colors with a score of 8, which is the highest score.  Baby A was a little stubborn at first, but she came around in the end.

32 Weeks = 10 lbs of BABIES!!!

The growth scan was this morning and we found out that we have some BIG babies!  Which is great they say, they were real happy!  Doctor said that as long as my blood pressure stays down and things keep going the way they are that we will most likely make it to 36 weeks no problem!   That is only 4 weeks away!!  So anytime between 4 and 5 weeks, they should be here!  (we will be scheduling a c-section in the next week or two)
WOW!  Gonna be here soon!!!

So here are the stats:
BABY A (GIRL)  IS 5 lbs, 2 oz
BABY B (BOY)  IS 4 lbs, 14oz

So next week, I will start going in twice a week for the NST's (non stress tests), where they monitior the heartbeats to make sure they are fluctuating with movements the way they should.  I will now start going to Barnes for all appointments(same doctors), since we are getting so close and that is where I will deliver.

The Belly Show

This week we have really got to see a good Belly Show!  The babies were really moving around alot.  Michael was able to video them for over 6 minutes.  It was so great to see, and weird at the same time.  It didnt hurt or anything, but it was sure freaky and awesome!  As I write this, the babies are kicking up a storm!

Went to the doctor today and all is well.  We will find out how much they have grown next week, can't wait!  We thought we would get to find out sooner, but we had to wait.  The only bad part is that my sugar levels during the night are a little elevated, so I have to start taking a small dose of insulin at night.  So we'll see how it goes, but I think it will all be good.

Two weeks after that I start going to the doctor twice a week for NST's (non stress tests).  I am actually swithcing over to Barnes Hostpital at this point(I had been going to MOBaptist), so that I can be familiar as it is getting closer to time and also so that all of my records will be over there, should something happen sooner than we think.  I will see the same doctors.

Labor Day Weekend

We hit 30 weeks this week and babies seem to be doing good!  Take a look at mommy's growing belly!!
We spent most of the holiday at home working on things in he babies' room and getting more clothes washed and ready to go!  Cat in the Hat is the theme, in case you can't tell, with our Thing 1 and Thing 2 it just seemed perfect!

Saturday I met with Amie to get our pedicures, it was a nice day and beautiful weather to be out and about in!  It would have been a perfect day for a winery trip, but we'll wait for that!  I am just glad the heat has not returned in full force, and I hope it stays away.
