Little Strawberries

Michael and I went to the appointment and right away in the ultrasound we were able to see the twins. I am 9 weeks and 6 days today, and they are now each about the size of a STRAWBERRY!!!

Their little hands were waving and their hearts were fluttering away. Baby A (the one on my left side -picture's right and closest to my cervix) is 26.7 mm in length with a Heartbeat of 175. Baby B (the one on my right side-picture's left) is 29.4 with a Heartbeat of 179. They are both in the same position, mocking each other, already being goofy like their dad! The tech said that this will probably be the last time we are able to get both of them in one shot, so next time (6 weeks away) we'll have some pictures of each of them!
We go back in 3 weeks and should be able to hear the heartbeats through a Doppler by that time. And then maybe we will be able to make a better guess as to if we are having a boy/girl, or boy/boy/ or girl/girl. They say that after 12 weeks you can look at the heartbeat count and if the heartbeat is 140 or above you are having a girl. If the heartbeat is below 140, then you are having a boy. Of course this is an old wives tales, one of many, so we won't rely too much on that!

They're Growing....

At least my waistline is growing, so I am hoping that means they are growing well in there(I am 8 weeks today)! My pants are getting tight, but i will take that as a good sign and just have to get out my maternity wear sooner than I thought! I am feeling the "morning sickness", but not too extreme, just every fatigued!! But all in all, we are doing really well so far!

Hoppy Easter Everyone!

Milka WWWWHHHHHAAAATTTTT?!!!

Today we had our first ultrasound and appointment with the high risk doctors. The ultrasound technician thought she saw a uterine septum, so we waited for over an hour for the doctors to look over my records and over my other ultrasounds to see if there was ever anything noted before. Of course there was not, so we were told everything looked fine. Milkawwwwhhhhaaaattt???, this lady is crazy!

We met with the Doctor after the US and we talked about the twins, and she said we had the best kind of twins! (Of course we do, duh!!! ). The kind that have their own sac and placenta and are less likely to have problems because of each other, they can function independently. We will be having an ultrasound every month to watch their development very closely. I think they will take good care of us!
