Poor Doggy

Our dog Maggie had to go in for surgery today.  She has a tumor/mass of some sort growing on her eye.  It has been getting bigger and bigger the last few months, so we decided to have it removed.  She is currently still in surgery, but will hopefully be out soon.  She should get to come home tonight to recover.

Poor girl, is now home, but is not feeling very well, they were able to get most of the tumor out, but it might come back and if it does, we may have to take her to a specialist to remove, in which case they may have to remove her whole eye. They are sending in the tumor to check for cancer, we hope it is non cancerous.  Poor baby has to wear a cone for 10-14 days then they will remove the stitches.

Valentine's Day Shots

The babies had their 4 month doctor visit yesterday the 14th.  Doctor said they are doing really well, growing great!

Reese - 16 lbs, 10 oz; 25 1/4 inches
Grant  - 16 lbs, 5 oz; 25 1/2 inches

They both had their shots and did not like them of course.  They were a little fussy after wards and got some infant Tylenol to help them feel better.

Before the appointment, we tried to pose them for their valentine photos, but they weren't real cooperative.  We took them up to Charlie's for lunch and met Katrina there before their appointment.
The babies also had their first taste of food from a spoon last night!  We mixed some rice and formula for them.  Neither of them seemed real impressed.  I tasted some and it didn't have any taste, so I see why they didnt really care for it!  ha.

Reese also rolled over for the first time!  She only did it once, so we did not capture the moment with the camera.  I think it surprised her a little bit, but once we clapped and said yaaaaayyyyy, she smiled and laughed.  We tried to have her do it again, but she just got really angry.

It was in the 50's yesterday, but this week is supposed to get even warmer.  A great turn around from a week ago!  Maybe that Groundhog was right!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

4 Months

On February 8th Reese and Grant turned 4 months old!  My babies are growing SOOOOOOOO fast!!  They are still able to wear some 3-6 month clothes, but have mostly moved on to the 6 or 9 month clothes!
We go to the doctor for shots and check up on Valentine's day, so we will see for sure how much they have grown.

Grant is really "talking" alot!  Reese does some talking too, but she also likes to squeel real loud to see if we are paying attention.  They are both really smiling alot and taking in thier environments.  They still don't like tummy time too much, but they push up and work their muscles when you hold them and lay down.  Grant has really been sticking his hand in his mouth alot the past few weeks and Reese just started doing this more also this week.

They are really starting to notice one another more.  They will just stare at each other and try to figure each other out.  Last night we had them laying in the crib together and they were fine at first, both kicking and watching the mobil go by...then they started pinching each other and it was all over with!  Already they are fighting back and forth! ha. Reese is also really pushing herself up when we have tummy time (though neither of them like it for very long).

We went to see Grandma Duck on their 4 month birthday and she really enjoyed the visit.  They even wore their matching yellow duck outfits!  Michael and i had a dentist appointment, so we took them with us and everyone really enjoyed seeing them!
