The Perfect Pear!!!

Friday May 28th, I was officially 4 month along! The babies are now each the size of a pear, and growing fast! On Tuesday the 25th, we had an ultrasound(but the pictures didnt turn out the greatest, so I will wait to post the next ones. Baby A was 5 oz and Baby B is weighing in at 6 oz!

I am really starting to feel the babies move around more and starting to really show now! The last appointment went well, my blood pressure is still in a very good range. She did tell me not to be out in the heat, and not to really do any type of exercise. Louging in a pool is great, but other than that, not other exercise permitted. Doing this will hopefully delay being on bedrest, as carrying around two babies puts extra pressure on your blood vessels, and we want to keep my blood pressure down!

So we will just keep relaxing and enjoying the summer as much as possible. In a few weeks we will find out the sex of the babies, so stay tuned for updates!!!

Softball Season

Week 14 was last Friday and babies have their finger prints now!!! Also they say they are the size of a flip phone or a SOFTBALL (maybe we have one of each??). Wow, they have really grown!!!!

We heard one of the heartbeats last Thursday night with our Doppler it was 160, we think it was Baby B’s heartbeat. We were disappointed not to hear the other, but on Saturday we think we heard Baby A! That heartbeat was 130. The doctor had told us not to freak out if we don’t hear them yet, it is still hard to locate both of them at this point!

As for me...I am feeling better and have a little more energy these days. I have been feeling some small flutters lately(especially over the last weekend), but not sure if it is really them or just my stomach playng tricks on me!! Daddy is doing a great job of helping me with the dogs and around the house. Keep it up daddy!

Happy Mother's Day!!

I am still pretty tired(look at the above pic, don't I look fabulous! LOL), and occasionally nauseous, but I seem to be getting better as I enter the 2nd trimester. My allergies are still going crazy!!! Above is a pic with me holding little limes...which is about the size of our little ones as of last week.

Our doctor visit was on Tuesday, and we weren’t supposed to get an ultrasound this time around, but when we got there, the nurse practitioner decided to do one. We didn’t use the big machine, she just used the little one on rollers, but it was still nice to see our little ones, they are about 2 1/2 inches long at this time (length of your pinkie).

They were so cute!

Baby B(on left) was really dancing around and throwing his/her arms in the air and looked like wiggling his/her butt(like he/she was saying "look at me mommy and daddy!!".
Baby A(on right)was a little more reserved and didn’t move quit as much, but was still moving around.
I started laughing while she was doing the ultrasound and the babies jiggled even more. It was so nice to see them! They are starting to look more defined and more like little people. Check them out below, it isnt the clearest picture, but we think it is still pretty good!!

Last week was our 4th Anniversary and we went up to Springfield, IL to celebrate. We didn’t go far because I didn’t want to travel too far while pregnant. We enjoyed it and the weather was great, but the gnats were horrible!!!
