Happy Groundhogs Day!

Its Groundhogs Day...and Phil DID NOT see his shadow!!  WooooHoooo!!  Lets hope its true that we will have an early spring this year!  I love the extra days off, but I am ready for some Spring!  I am home today celebrating for Groudhogs day...Ok, so not really, home on another snow day..
Look out Ladies!!

This is MY side!!

Reese says why is he touching me, Grant says can i go back to sleep?
"The storm of the century" blew through and I got a couple snow days.  We didn't get it as bad as some of the other areas, so we are thankful.  The school district I work for closed though for the past two days, so I have been home enjoying the babies.  We did get some ice and sleet, and then some snow, but we didn't get the 12-24 inches projected and we didn't get the several inches of ice expected either, thank goodness!  Michael worked from home yesterday, but he went in today.

The Whitaker Wonder Twins Welcome Open House Party was last weekend, February 29th.  We had the party at Grandma and Gramps' house.  There were alot of people who stopped by to say hello again and some that had never met them before.  We had a lot of people have to cancel because of illness, there is just something bad going around right now!

The babies did pretty good with all of the guests, being passed around.

Day off with Mom

Yesterday was MLK day and so I got to stay home with the babies.  We had a good time playing and laughing all day.
Grant is really loving to kick and play on the play mat.  Reese likes it ok, but she prefers to be sitting up and looking around.  She almost hopped out of the bouncy, so we have to make sure we start buckling her in for sure!  Grant almost rolled himself off the couch also(well rolled off his boppy pillow), look out dogs, he is coming for you!!!

Both Grant and Reese like to wiggle around in bed, they both end up at the end of the bed.  And Grant had his face in the bars the other morning!!!  Now that they are both sitting up and holding their heads a little better, they got their first bath in the actual baby tub (sorry Grant, it is pink).  They both were just kicking their legs and floating their legs around, they loved it!  (We used to just lay them in the tub on a foam mat to bathe them, they didn't like the baby tub before)

Grant is really talking a lot more and he laughs when I call him the PeePee Monster like his Daddy.  He really jabbers a lot and giggles after you change his diaper...I guess he likes a dry one!

Reese is really holding herself up more and more each day.  She likes to sit up(with some assistance) and reach for toys and bat her arms.  She started really laughing at the toy lion I had out for her to play with.  She also must be going through a growth spurt...she wanted 2 extra ounces at all of her feedings  yesterday!!  We'll see if she sticks to this new 8 ounces or she goes back down to her normal 6.

Michael had them on our bed last night before we got them ready for bed, they were both just kicking and laughing at him, they love to laugh at Daddy!
(will  post some pics later)
